Do unused labels incur costs?

Find out when charges apply for labels you’ve created but don’t use.

Updated today

Occasionally, you might create a label that you don’t end up using. In such cases, the outcome depends on the type of label you’ve created.

Package Labels

No cost incurred.

If you don’t hand over the package with the label to Swiss Post, no charges will apply. Swiss Post only charges for package labels once they have been scanned and weighed by their system.

Letter Labels (Webstamp)

Cost incurred.

Unfortunately, for letter labels, Swiss Post does not have an additional scanning step, which means the charge is applied at the moment the label is created.

Label Quota in the Swiss Post Label Printer App

Quota used.

Once a label has been processed and created, the quota is deducted and cannot be reset.
